16
YEARS
16 Years of widening ethnic fissures brought
about by political deceit and unfathomed God fatherism. 16 years of bending
rules for the favoured few while honest business are pushed out. 16 years of
developing OTHER nations with the Nigerian wealth. 16 years of disconnect
between the leadership and the populace. 1(6) Years of straight civil rule has
devastated the Military that was once the pride of Africa. Today “guerrilla”
army of Chad is doing on Nigeria territory what the Nigerian Army should have
done in the first place. 240 people having $300 Billion in off-shore accounts while
majority anguish on less than $2/ day. 1(6) years of Leaders dancing as hundreds
are bombed. 1(6) years of leasing the Nigerian waters to criminals to patrol.
1(6) years of Stealing not being Corruption. 1(6) years of denying that girls
were ever kidnapped or insurgency taking place. 1(6) years of an unelected market
woman deciding the fate of 170 Million citizens.
I really have had no faith in the
political set up called democracy. I have been always tuned to the perceived discipline
of the Khaki. Blame the Buhari and Idiagbon regime of 1984. Focused leadership
it was. Gen Abacha did well too. Did we
have any insurgency then? Of course not! Abacha was decisive. PTF which he
started and funded with just the N2/ liter did wonders for the majority of the
Nation. Abacha is blamed for embezzling about $3-5Billion and “killing” just
two people. Compare this with the amount the Diezani and Co STOLE and the
thousands killed by GEJ’s inaction and and even Lucifer would seem an Angel.
But then the big question, WILL IT ALL
BE THE SAME AFTER MAY 29th? Well, I DON’T know… but look at it this
way…. The incoming C-in-C’s name has already started to elicit action that we
thought would never happen and we are still a month and a half away from the official
change of the guard. But knowing civil rule, its political allegiances and sycophantic
ass kissers, makes me ponder if the new Commander in Chief will allow for
SACRED COWS! I hope not….. I really HOPE NOT.
